We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Social Justice, Race, And Gender Hosted By Dr. Finley
The Department of Sociology and Criminology would like to thank our esteemed professor, Dr. Laura Finley, for hosting a deliberative dialogue on February 11, “Say Her Name! Working for Social Justice at the Intersection of Race and Gender.” The event was part of the College Brides Walk, a multitiered, annual event hosted by universities around the country -- including Barry. Throughout the month, through talks like Dr. Finley’s and a walk, we honored those who were lost to dating and domestic violence. The event was sponsored by Barry University’s Center for Community Service Initiatives.
