Founders' Scholarship

Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships and Grants Founders' Scholarship Applications are now being accepted for Barry University's Founder's Scholarship!

The Founders' Scholarship provides full tuition over four years for one eligible graduating senior from each South Florida Catholic high school selected to participate in the program. Founders' Scholarship recipients will be invited to join the Barry University Honors Program and will be ambassadors for Founders' Day activities in the fall.

This scholarship was created in honor of Barry University's founders: Reverend Mother M. Gerald Barry, OP, Prioress General of the Dominican Sisters of Adrian; her brothers Reverend Monsignor William Barry and the Most Reverend Patrick Barry, Bishop of St. Augustine; and John Graves Thompson, mayor of Miami Shores, Florida.

The Founders Scholarship recognizes their belief in the value of a Catholic education in which the integration of study, reflection, and action inform the intellectual life. Scholarship recipients represent the strength of character and noble aspirations of our founders to make a positive impact on the world.
