  • Award Amount: $1,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen and transfer students whose parent(s), grandparent(s), or legal guardian(s) graduated from Barry University.

    GPA Required: 3.0 or higher

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: There is a separate application for the Legacy grant. The number of awards is limited so legacy students are encouraged to apply to Barry University and after being accepted, complete the Tuition Discount application as early as possible. Eligible applicants are awarded the Legacy Grant on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Award Amount: Full tuition, room and board, books, and travel over four years, plus an additional $6,000 award for study abroad or other extraordinary learning experience.

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen with demonstrated and active leadership.

    GPA Required: 3.5 or higher (international equivalent accepted)

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: Separate application required. Finalists are interviewed prior to a decision.

  • Award Amount: $1,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen enrolling directly from a Catholic high school located in the U.S. or abroad.

    GPA Required: None

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: No separate application. If you meet eligibility requirements, the grant will be awarded to you. 

  • Award Amount: $1,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: U.S. and international freshmen

    GPA Required: None

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: Cheerleading tryouts required. 

  • Award Amount: Full tuition over four years

    Eligibility: Open to a graduating senior from an archdiocesan Catholic high school in South Florida. The student does not have to be Catholic.

    GPA Required: 3.7 or higher (weighted)

    Test Score Required: Minimum 1250 SAT or 26 ACT

    Application Process: Separate application required. Finalists are interviewed prior to a decision.

  • Award Amount: $5,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen and transfer students

    GPA Required: 3.7 or higher (freshmen supply high school GPA, transfer students supply GPA from a regionally accredited university)

    Test Score Required: Minimum 1310 SAT (freshmen only)

    Application Process: No separate application. If you meet eligibility requirements, you will be invited to participate in the Honors Program.

  • Award Amount: In addition to merit scholarship and financial aid, a scholarship of $15,625 annually for four years will be awarded to two students.

    Eligibility: Open to all applicants admitted to the University as a full-time student in the Adrian Dominican School of Education in the Bachelors of Science in Education program regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, or veteran status. Must have graduated from a public high school in Miami Dade or Broward Counties and provide documentation of having completed a minimum of 75 service hours during high school.

    GPA Required: 3.0 or higher

    Test Requirements: SAT 1170 and/or ACT 26

    Application Process: Submit documentation of service hours and essay to greenescholarship@barry.edu. Scholarship committee will verify your admission status, high school GPA, and financial need with the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

  • Award Amount: Minimum of $15,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: Open students transferring from Miami Dade College

    GPA Required: 2.5 cumulative or higher

    Requirement: Review of Academic Transcripts from Miami Dade College

    Eligible Programs: All traditional undergraduate programs

    Application Process: No separate application. If you meet eligibility requirements, the scholarship will be awarded to you.

  • Award Amount: $1,000 per academic year

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen with two years of demonstrated experience in band or playing a musical instrument.

    GPA Required: 2.5 or higher (weighted)

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: Video submission is required.

  • Award Amount: Varies

    Eligibility: Open to active mentees in the Women of Tomorrow program in Miami Dade and Broward counties.

    GPA Required: None

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: Separate application required with the Women of Tomorrow organization.

    Award Amount: Varies

    Eligibility: School students as early as 9th grade start. Must enter school achievements to date (volunteer work, AP classes, club involvement, etc.).

    GPA Required: None

    Test Score Required: None

    Application Process: Create a free portfolio and follow Barry University page on Raise.me Keep your profile updated throughout your senior year with your accomplishments. Your earnings are instantly displayed in your Raise.me portfolio and will be included in your total merit-based award when you attend Barry.

  • Award Amount: Up to $10,000/year, renewable for four years.

    Eligibility: Full-time Barry students beginning their first year of college in Fall 2021 with declared majors in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science or Computer Information Science. Must have demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA, and must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

    GPA Required: 3.0 or higher

    Test Score Required: ACT or SAT scores must be submitted, and will be considered by the scholarship committee along with other aspects of the application.

    Application Process: Along with test scores, the application must include one letter of recommendation from a science or math teacher, and an essay or video in which you introduce yourself and discuss your personal career goals and interests, and science-related accomplishments. Applications should be submitted on the program website starting in January 2021, with a deadline of March 1, 2021. The Scholarship Committee will notify successful applicants by April 15, 2021.
