We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen and transfer students whose parent(s), grandparent(s), or legal guardian(s) graduated from Barry University.

Application Process: There is a separate application for the Legacy grant. The number of awards is limited so legacy students are encouraged to apply to Barry University and after being accepted, complete the Tuition Discount application as early as possible. Eligible applicants are awarded the Legacy Grant on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Award Amount: Full tuition, room and board, books, and travel over four years, plus an additional $6,000 award for study abroad or other extraordinary learning experience.
Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international freshmen with demonstrated and active leadership.

Application Process: No separate application. If you meet eligibility requirements, you will be invited to participate in the Honors Program.
Award Amount: In addition to merit scholarship and financial aid, a scholarship of $15,625 annually for four years will be awarded to two students.
Eligibility: Open to all applicants admitted to the University as a full-time student in the Adrian Dominican School of Education in the Bachelors of Science in Education program regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, or veteran status. Must have graduated from a public high school in Miami Dade or Broward Counties and provide documentation of having completed a minimum of 75 service hours during high school.

Application Process: Create a free portfolio and follow Barry University page on Raise.me Keep your profile updated throughout your senior year with your accomplishments. Your earnings are instantly displayed in your Raise.me portfolio and will be included in your total merit-based award when you attend Barry.
Award Amount: Up to $10,000/year, renewable for four years.
Eligibility: Full-time Barry students beginning their first year of college in Fall 2021 with declared majors in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science or Computer Information Science. Must have demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA, and must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
GPA Required: 3.0 or higher
Test Score Required: ACT or SAT scores must be submitted, and will be considered by the scholarship committee along with other aspects of the application.
Application Process: Along with test scores, the application must include one letter of recommendation from a science or math teacher, and an essay or video in which you introduce yourself and discuss your personal career goals and interests, and science-related accomplishments. Applications should be submitted on the program website starting in January 2021, with a deadline of March 1, 2021. The Scholarship Committee will notify successful applicants by April 15, 2021.
