Admission Procedures

DEGREE SEEKING

  1. Complete and submit a Barry University application (Undergraduate or Graduate www.barry.edu/apply). The application can be completed be creating a myBarry account.
  2. Submit supporting credentials.

FORMER UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE SEEKING

(Academically inactive for one calendar year)

  1. Complete and submit a Barry University undergraduate application and available at www.barry.edu/apply.
  2. Submit supporting credentials if applicant has attended another university since last enrollment at Barry University.

FORMER GRADUATE

(Academic inactive for one calendar year)

  1. Complete and submit a Barry University readmission application (available at www.barry.edu/graddocuments).
  2. Submit supporting credentials if attended another university since last enrollment at Barry University.

GUEST STUDENTS

  1. Enrolled in degree program elsewhere and wish Barry credits transferred to "Home" institution.
  2. Submit a non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/ugdocuments if undergraduate guest student or www.barry.edu/graddocuments if graduate guest student).
  3. Submit signed statement of good standing from "Home" institution with application and transcripts from currently attended institution.

POST-GRADUATE NON-DEGREE

  1. Hold a master's degree or higher
  2. Submit non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/graddocuments) and proof of master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  3. Credit limit: 9 semester hours

GRADUATE NON-DEGREE

  1. Hold a bachelor's degree
  2. Submit non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/graddocuments) and proof of bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  3. Credit limit: Varies with program

UNDERGRADUATE NON-DEGREE

  1. Hold a high school diploma or some college credentials from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Submit non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/ugdocuments) and proof of high school graduation and/or transcript from a regionally accredited institution.
  3. Credit limit: 30 semester credit hours

AUDIT

  • Must meet regular admission requirements. Use a code of "A" in the Special Code Column on the Registration Form.

TEACH CERTIFICATION BACHELOR DEGREE CERTIFICATION

  • Submit a non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/ugdocuments) and proof of degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Credit limit: 15 semester hours

GRADUATE DEGREE CERTIFICATION

  • Submit a non-degree application (available at www.barry.edu/graddocuments) and proof of degree from a regionally accredited institution.

NOTES:

  1. Application fee (or appropriate waiver) is payable when submitting application.
