Biography

Dr. Tisa McGhee joined Barry University’s School of Social Work in the fall of 2010. She teaches social work practice, research, and policy, human behavior, seminar in organizational development and domestic violence courses in the MSW program.Her practice interests have included her work in child welfare, working with families in trauma, and domestic/family violence. Dr. McGhee’s current research interests are in the management and administration of human service organizations specifically in the capacity building activities of non- profits, community partnerships, and the change and development of organizations. The core of all of her work is building community and systems capability using engaging and empowerment techniques. Dr. McGhee is a member of the NASW.
