
Biography
Sarah Riva, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of History at Barry University. New to South Florida, Dr. Riva completed her doctorate at the University of Arkansas alongside a graduate certificate in African and African American Studies. Dr. Riva specializes in race relations in the post-emancipation United States. Her research focuses on the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960’s but she teaches a broad array of topics dealing with discrimination and inequality in the United States.
