Orlando E. Valdes, M.S. OTR

Orlando E. Valdes has been the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator of Barry University’s Occupational Therapy Program since 2008. Orlando earned a B.S. in chemistry from Florida International University. He is a graduate of Barry’s Occupational Therapy Program having earned a M.S. in occupational therapy in 2007. His background in marketing and management helped facilitate his position in fieldwork education. His duties include coordination of Level I and Level II coursework and teaching lab courses in the program. Since graduation, Orlando has worked in the outpatient neurologic and pediatric therapy areas of Baptist Hospital in Kendall and home healthcare with adult clients for The Palace at Home. He is a member of AOTA, FOTA, and FLOTEC, the academic fieldwork coordinators organization. Orlando grew up in Miami, Florida and is married with three children.
