Biography

Lisa Ferrand is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Ms. Ferrand completed an MSA-CRNA tract in 2011 and a BSN in 2003 at Barry University and is currently working on a PhD. Her research interests center on Quantitative Research with a focus on Bioethics, Pharmacogenetics, and women’s health. In addition to her teaching duties at Barry University, she participates in various service efforts through Sigma Theta Tau, American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists, American Nurses Association, Campus Ministry, Big Brother Big Sisters, and Women in Distress. Alex personal interests are helping at his local parish community, St. Augustine Church and Catholic Student Center, hiking, camping, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is also passionate about serving his community and playing an active role in making parks a priority.
