Biography

Kay Rogers, DNP, CRNA is the Assistant Program Administrator and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Barry University in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the Barry Orlando campus. As a true Floridian, Rogers attended the University of Florida on a softball scholarship and then earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. After practicing as an emergency room/flight nurse, she earned a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 1995 from the University of New England and a Doctorate in Nurse Practice with Specialization in Anesthesiology from Barry University in 2014. Her work experience includes obstetric, trauma, cardiac, vascular and thoracic anesthesia. She currently works per diem at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Children. Her interests include Healthcare Simulation, High Risk Obstetric anesthesia, and Robotic Surgery for gynecologic oncology.
