We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Biography

Delia Leal has been a member of the Barry community since 2010. She serves as Assistant Professor of the graduate program teaching advance pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, and the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Delia Leal is a Barry Graduate. She completed her bachelor's degree in nursing in 2005 and her master's degree as an Advanced Registered Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2009. She is a foreign medical Doctor in Cuba and Costa Rica with many years of training in internal medicine, critical care, and pulmonary medicine. Her current clinical practice as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is in the specialty of pulmonary and critical care. Delia Leal has completed a Doctoral Philosophy (PhD in Nursing) degree. Her research interest area is sleep apnea.
