We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Biography

Debbi Hanson is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Professor Hanson completed her studies at Barry University where she earned a Masters of Clinical Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant studies. Previously, she worked at the Dallas Veterans hospital as a Physician Assistant in the internal medicine and urgent care clinics. She currently volunteers her time as a Physician Assistant at the Clearwater Free Clinic and on medical mission trips to Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Her teaching experience includes Physical Diagnosis, Pathophysiology, Clinical Therapeutics, and Emergency Medicine. Professor Hanson is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
