Biography

Danna Demezier joined the Counseling program in 2021. Dr. Demezier holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Florida. She also has a MS in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University and PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Demezier is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Her research interests include culturally responsive interventions for diverse ethnic populations to improve mental health utilization and culturally competent supervision in counselors and counselors-in-training. Dr. Demezier has over 10 years counseling experience with children, adolescents, and adults in minority communities and is passionate in providing evidence-based multicultural counseling for different populations.
