Biography

Claudette Chin is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Chin completed her studies at Barry University where she earned a Ph.D. in 2011, an MSN-FNP tract in 2005, and a BSN in 1996. Her research interests center on Qualitative Research with a focus on Caribbean populations, Multicultural Health Issues, Minority/Disenfranchised, Women's Health Issues (Infertility, In Vitro Fertilization), HIV/AIDS End of Life/Palliative Care Issues and Nursing Education. In addition to her teaching duties, she has served on various committees across the university and within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Chin is active in many professional organizations. She is the immediate past president of the Lambda Chi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition, she has served as Counselor, Governance Chair and presently is an active member of the Advisory Council Committee for the Lambda Chi Chapter.
