Biography

Dr. Barry J. Brock is an Academic Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Health Services Administration, and an Assistant Academic Coordinator of Professional Administration for Barry University’s School of Professional And Career Education. Dr. Brock has been with Barry University since 1993, where he developed the undergraduate Health Services Administration program, and assisted in the development of both the professional administration undergraduate and graduate programs. He had also held teaching appointments with the University of Central Florida, Nova Southeastern University, and Seminole Community College. In addition to his duties with Barry University, Dr. Brock is also affiliated with the American Council on Education, the American Academy of Medical Administrators, the American College of Contingency Planners, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is also currently a Medical Service Corps officer with the US Navy Reserve, serving as the Medical Intelligence and Health Planning Officer with the US Joint Forces Command. He has been selected for Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and was recently awarded the Navy Commendation Award and the Joint Services Commendation Award. In addition to his scholastic work, Dr. Brock has over twenty years of experience in health services administration with major organizations such as HCA, Orlando Regional Health System, and DCH Health System. He has a Doctor of Education and Master of Public Administration, both with health systems specializations, and has completed the Center for Health Studies Executive Management Program.
