
Biography
Dr. Aaron Johnson is a clinical pharmacist and public health expert dedicated to advancing health equity. He has served as Principal Investigator and Lead Evaluator for multiple public health initiatives, including the Transforming Communities Initiative by Trinity Health in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Johnson collaborates closely with community partners to implement health equity strategies aimed at underserved populations.
With extensive experience in both public and clinical health, Dr. Johnson has contributed to improving outcomes for communities, health systems, and pharmaceutical companies domestically and internationally. His commitment to philanthropy is evident through his role as Founder and President of the Aaron Johnson Scholarship, which awards scholarships to underrepresented high school seniors attending Broward County Public Schools.
A South Florida native, Dr. Johnson earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, graduating with highest honors, from Nova Southeastern University, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida. He serves on the Board of the Association of Black Health-System Pharmacists, chairs the Global Alliance for Medical Education, and leads a committee within the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Johnson is also a contributor to various publications, including Pharmacy Times.
Dr. Johnson’s research interests encompass public health and clinical pharmacy, focusing on strategies to reduce health disparities and enhance patient outcomes in underserved communities. In recognition of his contributions to public health and health equity, Dr. Johnson received a proclamation from the City of Fort Lauderdale as well as many other accolades.
