Biography

What’s the dorkiest (or nerdiest, goofiest, silliest) thing about you?
The nerdiest things about me is that I used to volunteer at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital throughout my high school career and I used to go to the hospital even when I was not scheduled to just watch the action and be in the hospital. I would spend hours there doing my homework.

What experience made you feel most excited to be a student at Barry University?
The experience that made me most excited to be a student at Barry was the Chemistry Club. I love being a part of the chemistry club because of the amazing members. The members always conduct fun activities for us to participate and get to know each other. It is nice finding people with the same interests as you.

What’s your best advice for new chemistry majors?
The best advice I have for new chemistry majors is to read before class. Read! Read! Read! You will have to put in extra work but it will be easier to understand the material explained in class and it will help you to feel less overwhelmed. I also suggest getting as involved as possible because you can meet people with similar interests and goals.

What are your career goals?
My career goals are to become a Neurosurgeon and do some research in neurology especially the behavior side of it.

What do you want to change about the world?
I want to change the negativity and lack of empathy that exists in the world. It may be impossible, but it is always possible to change it in your own world. What show never fails to make you laugh? “The Office” has never once failed to make me laugh. I love it, I’ve rewatched it too many times.
