At Barry University, you will experience a small community atmosphere where you can always rely on our administrators and faculty for advice, encouragement and personal attention. We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Biography

Erin Bennett graduated from Barry, Andreas School of Business in 2007. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity while attending Barry. Following graduation, Erin began to work in public accounting, obtaining experience in both accounting and taxation. She later graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2009 with a Masters in Accounting. She obtained both the CPA and CFE license/certifications. Erin currently works for Nextera Energy, the parent company for FPL. While at Nextera, she has spent approximately 7 years as a Financial Controller overseeing various wind sites throughout the U.S., and most presently, she is a Principal Accountant overseeing preparation of certain externally reported financial statements. Erin was born and raised in Miami/Fort Lauderdale. She currently lives in Stuart, FL with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, reading, and volunteering. Erin is also involved in the Junior League of Martin County, as well as an active volunteer for the church that she attends with her family.
