We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Hometown: Villa Clara, Cuba What I like best about Barry University: What I like the best about Barry University is the inclusivity on campus. As an undergraduate student I had the opportunity to build meaning connections with my peers and professors. The community environment on our campus is what I love the most. College search tip: The most important tip I can give any student is to visit the university campus. Interact with students, faculty, and staff. Try to find a university that feels like home. My favorite thing to do in Miami: My favorite thing to do in Miami is drive down to the Florida Keys. We have some of the most beautiful wild life and coral reefs in the Keys. It is always hot in Miami so the beach and the ocean is always a great choice.
