For 10 days after international or domestic travel utilizing public transportation, including in-state travel to a county with high or increasing COVID-19 transmission, travelers who are not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 should stay home to the extent possible and avoid contact with people at higher risk for severe illness. This can be shortened to 7 days if a COVID-19 test is negative on day 5 after travel. In alignment with CDC guidance, a quarantine after travel is not needed for fully vaccinated individuals.
