At the conclusion of the conference, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify how to properly chart and avoid medical errors.
  • Understand the top laws and rules that effect the practice of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Demonstrate the basic principles of treating complication in Foot and Ankle
  • Properly diagnose and treat lower extremity bone and joint infections via the use of oral and IV antibiotics.
  • Properly diagnose and treat Hallux Rigidus conservatively and surgically.
  • Understand and apply the basic principles of using CBD products in podiatric practice.
  • Diagnose and treat lower extremity sports medicine related injuries
  • Understanding the latest research and proper clinical applications of advanced wound products for wound healing
  • Understand the basic principles of dermpathology and its application to diagnose various skin pathologies
  • Demonstrate basic principles and new approaches for forefoot and rearfoot arthrodesis

ACCREDITATION

Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. Barry University has approved the 2019 Toes in the Sand Conference for a maximum of 10 continuing education contact hours.

Approximately two weeks following the seminar, you will receive a certificate of attendance via e-mail.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Requests received by August 9, 2019: A full refund will be provided for all cancellations.

After August 9, 2019: No refunds will be provided. Exceptions will be considered for extenuating circumstances only, such as medical issues or a death in the family.

*** PBCPMA members who registered for the conference and do not cancel by August 9, 2019 will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

An alternate attendee from the same organization may be substituted at any time prior to the conference start with no penalty. However, if the original attendee is an active member (APMA and FPMA) and the alternate is not, the difference in member/non-member rate must be paid at the time of substitution.

Once a registration is made, it is considered final. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows.
