    The BS in Organizational Leadership degree is a flexible program that addresses a broad range of organizational principles and practices, and also allows for individual emphasis through optional specializations.

  • Counseling (MS)

    The MS in Counseling programs blend traditional didactic approaches to teaching with experiential methods, including role-play opportunities and participating in a group experience. Our professors are committed to providing a rigorous but distinctive program for our students.

  • Curriculum and Instruction (MS)

    In order to broaden your curriculum expertise and instructional skills, we have developed courses that act as a learning laboratory where you are able to bring curriculum issues and classroom experiences to your coursework. You will work with experienced faculty to create instructional methods and strategies aimed at solving problems commonly found in teaching environments.

  • Human Resource Development (MS)

    Barry’s Master of Science in Human Resource Development program offers a cutting-edge curriculum that emphasizes best practices and current research.

  • Leadership and Innovation (MS)

    Prepare for managerial, entrepreneurial, and leadership careers across a wide range of professional fields.

  • Reading (MS)

    A Master of Science in Reading prepares the educator to become a reading specialist, reading leader, reading coach, or reading resource person who works in the K-12 school environment.

  • School Psychology (MS/SSP)

    This degree program is designed for students who wish to work closely with individuals from birth to age 21 in the school environment.

About the School Our Mission

The mission of the Adrian Dominican School of Education is to promote academic excellence as it prepares caring, ethical, and highly skilled professional educators and counselors to teach and work in a wide range of culturally diverse learning environments. Sensitive and responsive to the diverse society in which they live and work, faculty in the School of Education strive to model lifelong learning and to foster critical and creative thinking in professional interactions with each other, students and the wider community.

The School of Education carries out its mission with particular attention to the core commitments of Barry University: Knowledge and truth; inclusive community; social justice, and collaborative service.

The CARE Center (Counseling, Assessment, Research, and Education) is designed to meet the academic and mental health needs of underserved children and their families from our local community. 

The Center offers a full range of educational diagnostics, interventions, and mental health support services that address a diverse spectrum of individual needs, while promoting individual and family wellness from a holistic perspective.
