About the School Our Mission
The mission of the Adrian Dominican School of Education is to promote academic excellence as it prepares caring, ethical, and highly skilled professional educators and counselors to teach and work in a wide range of culturally diverse learning environments. Sensitive and responsive to the diverse society in which they live and work, faculty in the School of Education strive to model lifelong learning and to foster critical and creative thinking in professional interactions with each other, students and the wider community.
The School of Education carries out its mission with particular attention to the core commitments of Barry University: Knowledge and truth; inclusive community; social justice, and collaborative service.
We are committed to continuous improvement through collaborative processes. Thus, we:
