Welcome to the Career Development Center (formerly known as Career Services) We have had lots of changes to our office over the past few years and are excited about the future.
The reason for our name change is to properly reflect the scope of work in which we are engaged; student learning and development. We wanted to ensure that our name reflected the fact that learning and development is an ongoing process and not a onetime visit to your career counselor. The Career Development Center is committed to working with students and alumni at all levels of their career development from interest and value assessments and choosing a major to job searching strategies and networking opportunities, and everything in between.
As a staff we are dedicated to providing our students and alumni with the resources and guidance necessary to discern their calling, and to live out the Barry Mission in the global community in which we live. In addition, we are committed to developing and maintaining external partnerships with businesses and organizations locally as well as nationally and internationally where our students can contribute and respond to the needs of the community.
We welcome the students and alumni of Barry University to take advantage of the resources and knowledgeable staff here in the Career Development Center and we look forward to the opportunity to assist you in your career development.
