STAMPS Scholars

Barry University partners with the Stamps Scholars Program to award multi-year scholarships to help driven and talented student leaders achieve their education and life goals. Stamps Scholars pursue their educational interests while developing their leadership skills with merit based financial aid including enrichment funds that can be used for study abroad, cultural exchanges, research projects and other educational experiences. Stamps Scholars also join a community of more than 2600 current and alumni Stamps Scholars around the world with whom they network and share their experiences.

The Barry Stamps Scholars Program provides full tuition and room and board over four years, plus funds for study abroad, undergraduate research, and other exceptional learning experiences.

With the generous support of the Stamps Scholars Program, the program invests in an exclusive group of high-achieving incoming freshmen with an interest in leadership and service. Barry University provides matching dollars to provide a full merit scholarship. The award is renewable each year, based on GPA, leadership training, and community service requirements.

Paving (and painting) The Road to Success

What does the Barry Stamps Scholarship mean to its Barry University recipients?

For many, the impact of the Stamps Scholars Program is difficult to put into words. That’s why a group of Barry Stamps Scholars decided to paint it on a canvas. In a large-scale mural celebrating their Barry experience and, as Rebecca Rogers said, “symbolizing the pathway to success,” the Scholars worked together to showcase their appreciation for the myriad ways the Stamps Scholars Program has impacted their lives and their futures.

The vision for the mural began with a literal image—a paved road, a finish line marked with the word “Success.” But that simple backdrop was soon awash in splashes of color, splatter-painting, and, finally, bare footprints. “The footprints are in a weird kind of direction because it’s supposed to represent that the pathway to success isn’t always a straight pathway,” said Rebecca Rogers. “But you can still get there.”
